Without a doubt the best album. Mental Jewelry is a very close second.
From the slow to intense build of
The Dam At Otter Creek to the tongue in cheek hidden track
Horse there isn't one bad song. The entire album kicks some serious arse. Otter Creek really captures the feeling of their early live shows.
Selling the Drama borrows some of their thought provoking lyrics from Mental Jewelry and I Alone is just an excellent track with calm moments into heavy hitting choruses.
Iris rocks and the ballad of Pillar of Davidson has always been my favorite of the album.
I've often thought how awesome it would be for the band to play the entire album all the way through.
White, Discussion was an amazing closer for concerts when the band had all 4 members but it doesn't hit as hard as it does now. Maybe it will again. I just remember Patrick and Chad doing some really great stuff with the bass and guitar distortion live. But I digress...
Amazing album that I can play anytime and I used to be able to play the whole thing on my guitar too.
