Ed recently did a podcast on LoudWire with Stone Temple Pilots' Robert DeLeo. He said the new lineup is here to stay.
"Man, I'm so excited to be recording again. We just recorded a little bit in Austin in June... actually put a song together called Lady Bhang which Dean played some slide guitar on so we're dropping that on 8/16... we play that on tour a little bit. It's a rocker and fun.
...To be recording again and making new music it's a really big moment. Had some change ups Live 2.0 lineup is here to stay and we're rocking. Our production is really cool we have two great guys in the band my guitar player Zac Loy and Nick Jay... the keyboards are incredible. I'm producing as well so we have this whole in house thing going on with that which is really inspiring...um... so yeah as much as we're looking back and celebrating we're super excited to put out a new song and be recording again."
